Hi: I need help creating a macro to format a word document.
I have a multiple choice quiz with 100+ questions in the following format:

1- which is the capital of france ?
*a- paris
b- madrid
c- new york
d- rome

2- which is the capital of spain ?
a- paris
*b- madrid
c- new york
d- rome

Somehow I need to replace the bulleted letters with an option button.
I would like a macro to replace the options with option buttons so the student can interactively select the correct answer. In addition, I would like to generate a final report with the total of correct and incorrect answers
Thanks

Hi dgrosen10,

It would have been far better to create your document using, say, dropdown formfields, where the users select their answer. Interrogating the contents of such formfields is relatively straightforward, using some vba that would reside in another document.

Whilst you could add formfield checkboxes to your document as a workaround, you'll then need to incorporate some vba (which the user might diable) to ensure only one checkbox from each question is checked.

As a compromise, you might consider adding a dropdown formfield for each question, where the users nominate their answer (as a, b, c or d, etc).

Cheers
