In the past I was able to customize my Excel and add new buttons to do repeative tasks. Moreover, when my Excel opened the new buttons would operate on macros that were tied to the application, not a specifc worksheet.

I'm trying to recall how I accomplished this... specifically, if I create a macro, how do I attach it to the application.excel.

Momentary lapse of reason... thanks for any advice.

I presume you need to store your macros in Personal.xls to use them in XL Application.

Hi bearnone,

In Excel, open the Visual Basic Editor (Alt+F11) and click 'View' 'Project Explorer'. From project explorer, you should be able to assign the modules and forms to a particular file/sheet/template, mainly by right-clicking on each object.

Hope this helps,

Assad

Saving them to your personal.xls workbook will definitely achieve this.

Does anybody know how i can save existing modules to my personal.xls workbook?
