Hi,

Somebody know how can scan a control to know all information that contain?

When I try an instruction dlgValue «control_name», «index» an error occurs when the index pass over a number of occurrences.

Must I trap this error to know when the scan is finish?

Thank's
Gilles.

Gilles,

Are you trying to do this from within a dialog function? That's where this has to be. In addition you can only check a controls status at discrete times: when the dialog initializes and when focus changes from control to control.

Yes I do, it's exactly my problem. I want to know what is the information in a dropdown list or listbox array.

At this moment, I must trap an error or I must save the information when the control is initialize.

Hi Dave,

I have a dialog that contain multiple list box and combobox. Sometimes, I would like to know how many element contain a combo or a list.

For this raison, I want to scan a control to know all it's element.

At this moment, when I initialize a control I keep the list of elements in a variable. When I need to know an information I read in this variable.

Gilles.
