Macro question (repost)

Hi again<br><br>I recently asked a question looking for any ideas on ways to translate symbols (degree signs, registered trademarks etc..) in MSWord to ASCII equivalents to allow the document to be tagged in xml (could be for HTML though).&nbsp;&nbsp;I was thinking of writing a macro that used find and replace many times, but I wasn't sure if you could add symbols to macros...&nbsp;&nbsp;I can't believe that this is an uncommon problem, but the only suggestion I heard was using MSAccess, but that wasn't clear to me how it would work and I never received anymore info.&nbsp;&nbsp;Any new ideas?<br><br>Ben<br>
