Hi,

Can I create a kind of Macro in Crystal Reports? Every night my database get updated (when I am asleep:). It is cool when my reports will be updated too every night. Can somebody help me?

henky: For this you will need to schedule your report - I use Seagate Info rather than Crystal Reports as this includes a scheduler which allows me to schedule reports to run on a recurring basis but only if a pre-defined event has occurred. You might want to consider this David C. Monks

Hi there

David is correct that Seagate Info would be a great idea in this. If, however, you are not ready to purchase Currently, they are offering a free 50-user license which normally sells for thousands of dollars. You can find out this information by either looking at their website or calling seagate themselves.

Hope this helps.

I searched in our archive and I found the CD (cute doggie:) I installed it on my PC. OS = Windows 2000. But I dont know how to use this program. Can you tell me what program I have to use? I guess Info Desktop, but when I try to update a report, there is no fresh data in the report.

Hi there Henky

Here is a link to a technical white paper on Seagate info that could help. These are free downloads.

There are a couple of downloads for Seagate Info for a fee of $10 US, these could be of more help.

I would recommend checking out the free ones and if you don't get what you want out of them, then purchase the other ones, but free is always the best way to go first ;)

hope this helps.
