I don't want my code available to users only the output generated by virtue of executing the macro. What is the easiest means of disseminating the output without passing on the macro code that generated it?

Thanks,
Lakefish

you can make the Macro code part of [red]your[/red]Personal Macro Workbook. That way, you can see/use the macro whenever you're in Excel and no one else can. That is assuming you're talking about an Excel Macro. The same is true for, say, Word, only in that case it's Normal.dot

This is technically incorrect. I have hundreds of macros accessible, and not one of them is in normal.dot. I never put macros in normal.dot.

In any case, have your code write your output to a new file that does not have your code in it. If it does not have the code...it does not have the code.

Hopefully (if you ARE talking about Word) you are running your code from a template file, not a document file.

BTW: it is a good idea to mention what application you are interested in.

fumei,

The macro I wish to make unavailable was created in Excel. Could you give give an example or reference to having the code write output to a new file?

Thanks,
Lakefish

Gerry was referring to Word Macro code, not Excel.

You can simply move the results worksheet to a new book
Code:
Sub Macro2()
Sheets("Sheet2").Move
End Sub
