I would like to attach a macro to a button on the standard EXCEL toolbar. How can I do this?

Thanks. -- Ham

Exerpt from Excel Help

Run a macro from a toolbar button
You can run a macro from a button on a built-in toolbar or a custom toolbar. For information about creating a custom toolbar, click .

On the Tools menu, click Customize.

If the toolbar that contains the button is not visible, click the Toolbars tab, and then select the check box next to the toolbar name.

If the button you want to run the macro from is not on a toolbar, click the Commands tab, and then click Macros in the Categories list. In the Commands list, drag the Custom button onto a toolbar.

Right-click the toolbar button, and then click Assign Macro on the shortcut menu.
Right-Click didn't work bu clicking on the button brought up the assigh macro box

In the Macro name box, enter the name of the macro.

Obviously I am doing something wrong. I clicked on Tools and then Customize... The Standard tool bar is showing. Under Commands/Categories I clicked on Macros. Then I tried to drag the Custom Button to a toolbar, but it won't move.

What am I missing?

Thanks. -- Ham

Ignore previous message. It works. It's awful growing old.

Thanks for the help. -- Ham
