Is there a way to get a full x-windows session displated to my x11 installation on MacOSX? Or to be able to login from anywhere with an X client and get a full session?

If you are using Xwin 32,exceed, or some other xterminal software yes?

The Mac OS X machine has an X11 implementation. But when I'm on that machine, I don't know how to connect to the Solaris. Of course I can telnet, or rlogin, but I want to have a real x-windows session to get to emacs. I assume there is something involving the display command, or something. I really don't know. Would appreciate help on exactly how to configure the Solaris to make this work. For example, I tried hostname:x-server:display:0.0 but it would not work. Any hint would be appreciated.

Hi
Try this:
On the host type
xhost + <name of host mac attached to>
If the mac is attached to the same host ignore above.

You need to know what your display settings on the mac are. When you determine this, type

export DISPLAY=<mac display setting>
