We recently upgraded to Macola Enterprise Suite 9.5. Since the upgrade, in the Cash Flow screen, when writing a manual check, we can no longer search for the G/L account or the Project codes when allocating the check.

I was wondering if anyone else has run into this, or if there is a way to restore that search function. I've looked everywhere I can think of, but haven't found anything pertinent. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Figured it out... the instructions on what keys to press for the search are gone, but you can still hit F7 or F8 and get the search.

Did you report this to Exact? Did you upgrade from Progression, or from an earlier version of ES? Anything else missing or well hidden?

Any feedback appreciated.

I haven't reported it to Exact yet, we don't have unlimited support from them so I was reluctant to go to them about it. Now that I know the issue, I'm going to report it.

We upgraded from an earlier version of ES, which was originally an upgrade from Progression. I haven't noticed anything else missing or hidden, but we're having a billing problem that we're currently working with Exact on.

Was the search there in the earlier versions of ES?

There is no search 'button' in the GL journal screen for GL accounts, customers, vendors, items or projects but F7 still works as has already been pointed out. This isn't a bug as such as it has always been this way. The allocation to accounts in Cashflow did change with 372 - the change was to allow allocation to multiple accounts. This screen uses the same 'look' as the GL journal screen i.e. F7 works as a search, but there is no search button like you would see on other screens.

I don't believe this is a bug as it works as it was designed; whoever trained you on ES should have gone over this with you.
