We currently have Macola 7.6.2 installed on a Windows 2000 Server SP4 w/rollup 1. It is using SQL 2000 server. I can't get it to work with Windows XP Professional clients. Any ideas?

Probably would help if you provide some details.

What sort of details would you like? All of the Macola clients running Windows 2000 work just fine. I use the same settings with Windows XP Professional, and no luck.

I'm using 7.6.300b here and works fine on W2k or XP. DB is running on W2k server SP4 w/ P-SQL. Maybe your version is too old?

Do you get errors before the program loads? After it loads? Users need registry permissions to macola & odbc. You may have an mdac problem that can generally be corrected by downloading the most current from microsoft. Users also need sufficient permissions to their local windows directories so the ini files can be modified as needed. You need at least client connectivity installed on the local machine, full client tools if you need to log on as supervisor to set macola security. It could be lots of things causing it.
