I have macola for dos running from a netware 3 server. I need to move this to a windows server. I changed the bat file to run the btrieve.exe instead of the requester but I get an error that the database is the wrong version. I noticed that the btrieve.nlm is a newer version than the btrieve.exe. what do I do to get a newer btrieve.exe?

Big job. Too big to explain in a chat room. Either contact Macola, or a Macola VAR to get the correct software, or you can hire me. kwvining@hotmail.com

mrossi3: did you figure it out yet? Moving to a windows server from netware involves several issues. Usually, you would need to purchase a btrieve/psql license for your windows server to make it run. However, depending on how old your macola is, you may need to use some ancient dos requestors or bat & exe files to get to your data. Why are you waiting to upgrade to v7 macola if they've made the migration to a windows server? They have great incentive pricing out there now & we know Uncle Bill will kill off DOS apps as quickly as possible . . Time to act, I think.
