Good afternoon everyone....

Macola ES v9.5.500, last updated just over a week ago.

Just curious if anyone else has run into this....

I have multiple PO's open for the same item....our lead times are in months....so this is common.

PO #1, qty 10 pieces, print PO, Open PO with quantity remaining (from Power Price Inquiry) is correct.

PO #2, qty 20 pieces, print PO, Open PO with quantity remaining (from Power Price Inquiry) is correct.

Cancel the line on PO #1, print PO, Open PO with quantity remaining (from Power Price Inquiry) is correct.

Add a new line for the same item on PO #1, print PO, Open PO with quantity remaining (from Power Price Inquiry) does not show PO #1.....only PO #2 is displayed.

If I go in and manually change all the data in POORDLIN for PO #1 from the cancelled line to the "good" line, the two PO's will display.....so the "good" line now has a smaller sequence number than the "cancelled" line.

Would seem to me the code "stops looking" as soon as it finds a cancelled line.

Can anyone else confirm that?

Hi Don....

PO / View by item is incorrect as well.

If you don't select the checkbox to only show quantity remaining, all orders appear....some of my parts have hundreds of PO's....so that could be problematic for us.

What has Exact said about this? Without taking the time to test it, my guess is that when you delete the line on PO# 1, it has no lines at that moment, so the PO header gets a cancelled status as well. Then when you add a new line on PO #1 the header status is not getting reset.

I can test this tomorrow but if you want to look at this have at it. It definitely sounds like a bug to me.

I sent a message to my account manager at Exact yesterday. I have yet to hear back.

What you suggested may very well happen with single line PO's....I failed to mention that all of my PO's contain multiple lines. The headers remain in a printed state and then just the line that is cancelled is change to the cancelled state.

What I've found in my testing is that if the seq_no in POORDLIN for the cancelled line is less than the seq_no of the "active" line, that specific PO will not be displayed in the View. The PO is only visible on the View screen when the "active" line appears in the result set before the cancelled line.

I'm still doing some testing to see what I can find out regarding the issue. I definitely think there is something fishy with cancelled items.

Just a quick update for everyone....it would seem this has been resolved by the updates released on 1/19/2011.

My initial testing indicates that is indeed the case.
