Hello,

we have Macola 7.53f running on pervasive 7 on a novell 5 server.

Everything has been working fine and we got 3(same) new win xp pro workstations, loaded pervasive and macola client on them, and they work except one.

When I launch progression explorer I get:
error 011 on file: <network path>screens\syspass.btr - invalid

System error: file syspass.btr not open

I'm at a loss.

Check to insure that you are using a mapped drive to access macola and not a unc path.

Insure that the path in the shortcut on this machine is mapped and not unc

Also insure that the mapped drive can actually view data through windows explorer.

I take it the pathing was the issue?

Yes, for whatever reason it was using UNC instead of the M: drive.

Keep an eye out for this error especially on this machine. For whatever reason (drive not present, some other setting in the startup batch file, etc) This may continue to be a problem on this machine. I have found that the one machine in our net that does this, does this often, and we have never been able to figure out why some of the shortcuts revert to a unc path.

Later.
