I've recently reloaded my XP computer including the Macola client. Macola 7.5.103d is loaded on a Novell 3.12 server running btrieve. We have a single user license for Crystal 6 so we can run some custom reports. I reloaded XP due to my old XP computer running dog slow. I loaded an exact Dell Dimension 2350 that's sitting next to the old Dell 2350. My problem is I cant run my custom reports. I get a "Btrieve Error: Record manager inactive". I compared the new load to the old and the ODBC connection is not there "Macola 32-Bit Btrieve (*dta)". XP did not want to let me load the ODBC connection. A guy here started down the road of attempting to get the appropriate dll's registered so the Btrieve drive would load. Now XP doesn't protest when the btrieve driver is selected but Crystal still wont run. Before we spend a lot of effort trying to get the btrieve driver loaded I thought I ask if someone had an insight to this situation.
Years ago I had the same situation when I went from Windows 95 to XP. Unfortunately I don't remember what was done to get Crystal running on the XP pc.
