I've got FoxPro 2.6 for Macintosh installed on a client's machine and I keep getting Macintosh errors 3, 10 etc. Does anyone have any idea what can be causing them (We usually run the PC version so we know little about and this program was a 'favour')

Thanks in advance

Do you know which lines of code are causing the errors?

Hi Glen,

I've just finished porting a large app from FoxPro Win to Mac ; and I get the same type of errors on one test machine, whereas the other is happily chugging along..
The machine that is giving the errors is an iMac (revision C - SE) running MacOS 9.O, whereas the PowerMac 6100 runs MacOS 8.6 ; and it has driven my tester crazy..

So far I haven't had any luck in finding the error, as I don't have that many different test machines available..
My own Performa 5200 running MacOS 8.1 seems happy enough; and so is the old IIsi running MacOS 7.6 i dragged out of its closet -- and not just because it meant it could get out of the closet again ;-)
Two weeks from now the app will be tested on a G4 running MacOS X 10.1 and i'm not sure what to expect..

What machines and os versions are you experiencing your problems on? In another thread on this forum, the problems seemed to point towards a particular machine/os combo..
Let's hope we'll be able to figure it out..

Best regards,

Jan Schenkel.
