Ok guys I need a hand here. I've got an IIS 5 ftp server running at the office, it works fine, EXCEPT if mac clients try to connect. I can see the Macs connect on my end, but on their end they dont get a directory listing and it seems after about 45 seconds they time out and get dropped. Its a Win2k Advanced server behind a linksys router. The directory is on an NTFS partition, and the ftp server is set for UNIX directory style. The mac clients are trying to access it using IE or Netscape Navigator. Anyone have any ideas? I havent found anything on microsoft's TechNet.

I got it figured out. Netscape and IE for Mac both will only do PASV mode transfers, and unlike IE for windows you can't change it, at least I couldnt figure out how to do it. The Linksys router wasnt allowing PASV mode to work. I updated the firmware on the router which now gives an option for port triggering. Basically you set the router to monitor a certain port range, watching for a specific program to access that port range. When it detects data going out across one of those ports from that program it will open that port for an incomming connection.
