Computer can't find rundll32.exe
Is there a way to get this file off the net.
Does it belong in windows32 folder.

This happened after a virus attack and subsequent cleanup by Norton 360.

I would suggest you do a Repair Install (Inplace Upgrade Install) of XP instead, or even better a totally CLEAN INSTALL...

How to perform an in-place upgrade (reinstallation) of Windows XP

Do a google search for the missing file and you should be able to find the MS KB article showing where to find it on the install CD so you can copy it onto your system.

If you feel that your machine is clean then the System File Checker might be able to help you replace Rundll.exe and any other missing or corrupted files.

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right-click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking. Select both boxes.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.

Rundll32.exe is what I meant by "replace Rundll.exe and any other missing or corrupted files".
