Machine hangs after about a minute

Hi all:
i, just recently put togather a AMD 1.2Ghz Duron processor with a 20Gb HDD 96Mb ram(which i intend to extend to 128MB).
i installed win2k on the machine and when i startup n enter windows, the system hangs after approx 2 minutes of normal use. After which i have to press "restart".
I reinstalled win2k over again, still the problem persists.

Do you know what the temperatures of your processor? I would also highly recomend a ram upgrade (with the prices of ram I would get another 128 meg stick).

96 is kind of a goofy number, makes me think you are taking some memory from another machine. Lockups can occur with faulty RAM. If you have mixed RAM, or multiple sticks, try just using only one or the other stick and see if you can get it to lock up that way.
