I am having a machine on my network once this machine is on the network it cause the sitch to go down and the uplink and the downlink to the other switches. the switch is 3com is there a way to solve that
regards
Thanks for the reply. It is not the cabling becuase we replaced the machine and it is working fine. The matter is how can we block the port on the switch so the problem will not spread the all ports and eventually stop the cascaded switches. is that possible?
Actually just had a customer computer in with this same problem. Power supply ground had been damaged and feedback was going out the modem and nic. Made all the routers and hubs light up like chrismas trees.
You need to find out what is wrong with that device nic like auger says.
