Hello,

We are using a PEAP with out Cisco WLAN. In order for this to work, the client machines require a cert from our internal CA. This is not an issue with our Windows machines, since we push it our using AD.

Anyone know how to add an internal cert to be "trusted" on a MAC OS X 10.4 (or higher)? We've tried to import the cert, but the MAC doesn't appear to want to trust it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The times it does work, rebooting the MAC brings us back to square one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Rgds,

John

how are you importing it? You should be able to add the cert to your keychain.

Open Keychain Access and look at Certificates.

I will say that there has apparently been a long standing problem with free certs from Thawte - the work around to import them, is to get them into Firefox, then export them from firefox to disk and then import the new disk file into Keychain.

Hello,

We have been clicking the cert from the desktop. What is recommended approach for importing the cert so it is always trusted? Thanks!

Rgds,

John

You'll get the best info by going to mac help and searching for "keychain".

On the list of topics you'll get, among many others, "adding certificates to a keychain"

You'll do best to read up on the other topics, including making the keycahin more secure, etc.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

Cool, I will give that a try. Thank you.

John
