We have created InDesign forms using InDesign on a MAC. The forms need to be updated from time to time. The person who will be doing the updates is a PC user.

She has InDesign for Windows, but claims she cannot open our files because they were built using MAC OS.

What do we need to do so that she can open and edit the forms?

Thank you.

1st: make sure you are using the same version of InDesign

2nd: make sure you are saving your InDesign document with a file name extension of '.INDD'

3rd: make sure that you are transferring the file properly: either zip it before emailing or burn to a standardized CD format that Windows can read.

These 3 steps will ensure that the InDesign document can be transferred. Moving fonts and linked images between computers is another matter.
