We need help to do system stuff on iMac OS-X, vintage 2002?

1. Belarc or similar to do system audit - HW - ports, mfr's, etc, SW info, mfr's, key codes, serial numbers, etc, status of Mac patches & updates, antivirus & spyware.

2. Status of HD - remaining space, max size, mfr, S/N, etc.

3. Defrag tool - similar to Diskeeper

4. Registry cleaner & fixer

5. Chkdsk /f equivalent to fix lost clusters, etc.

6. Clean up swap files, temp files, etc.

7. Any other useful stuff.

Thanks, Dave Y

Most info: Apple menu/about this mac. Click the More Info button on next window. Click on the different sections for all info.

Software reg numbers - launch any app and go to About on the menu named for the app - next to Apple menu.

Defragging unnecessary but it's a good idea to occasionally repair permissions via application/utilities/disk utility.

There is no registry so nothing to clean up or fix. No need to fix lost clusters or swap files etc.

For teh maost part the machines take care of themselves and the os needs virtually no maintenance.

More utility apps located in applications utilities however most setup is easily done via System Preferences on apple menu.

Hopefully the machine has 10.3 or above as it's far superior to earlier versions.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4
