Firatly can I just say I know nothing about macs so please keep it simple!
Right my Uncle has an old Mac SE with System 7 OS when he starts up the machine it keeps asking for a disc to start he has some System 7 discs but none seen to work any ideas?
He has one dics missing form the folder with the System 7 discs in could this be the one he needs?

Err Yes, it sounds like you have a disk missing.

Also sounds like the HDD needs the system restored to it from the disks.

The disk you need to put in first is the system disk, it sould be labeled as that.
