I asked this on the Frontpage forum but i think it might be better for this forum.

I design sites on a PC. And i frequently have problems with something quirky happening on the Mac when they view my site. Most of the time it isn't that big of a deal. Plus my audience is about 95% or more PC users.

Does this happen to anyone else? And how do other handle this situation? I know you are supposed to test test and test. But it seems that if i make the change or fix it for a mac that it screws it up for the PC. So I am making it work the best for the larger audience.

Anyones comments/thoughts would be great.

A few problems I've come across (IE 5.2):

1. Colors on a Mac tend to be lighter. Not usually that big a deal.

2. Font sizes are interpreted differently (usually smaller). You can get around this by specifying text size in pixels, although it means sacrificing accessability. Way I see it, if you're using a Mac, you're probably used to sites with small type, so you'll know how to fix it.

3. iframes can sometimes leave their scrollbars on the screen when you move onto another page. Not very nice.

4. JavaScript that works fine on the same PC browser may not necessarily work on the Mac version. I haven't figured out the specifics yet, but it's certainly something to test.

5. Controls tend to be sized differently that on a PC.
