Mac OSX function keys

I saw a thread in here .... that discussed this issue, but I dont think the response solution was directed at OSX users. The problem is that the f5 key is used to enable sound increase... at least on the laptop it is, and flash uses f5 to add frames to the timeline. I cant seem to disable the mac function.

Any suggestions..
