Strange but true.
I have iMac with Mac OS 10.2.8, that's running IE 5.2 which I use for my Grad School work. I access a database of full text articles, and I have no problems at all, execpt this. When I try to open a .pdf file in EBSCO host (the full text database mentioned earlier) it downloads to my computer instead a .asp file. This makes my computer open the Apple System Profiler program, and it attempts to see how my computer is doing. No major crashes involved in this, I quit the Apple System profiler program and open the .html version, if available. IE will open other .pdf from other web sites, but not this one. I'm accessing through either a cable modem or a T1 line.
EBSCO is a database available to Indiana residents, usually through their local public library, and it can be found at I'm aware that most won't be able to access this database, but I hoe that someone can give a hint to what is happening.
