Hello All. I have setup a MAC OS X machine for file sharing using SAMBA. I thought with the new SAMBA feature I can bypass the need for a MAC agent. When creating a backup, I can browse the network in ARCSERVE and select the share to be backed up. ARCSERVE can connect but it fails to backup up every file, i get a file permission error even though i set up the correct windows user on the MAC OS X machine. Has anybody successfully done this? and if so what could i be doing wrong. I know ARCSERVE doesnt support it, but I cant find a MAC or UNIX(since OS X is based on FreeBSD Unix) that will work with OS X.
