Help! I'm using a Powerbook G4 running OS 9.1 When I tried to log on to our data server running appleshare 6.2 with foxpro 6.2 application the foxpro app crashes and the date of the powerbook goes to 1904 when it reboots.

I tried to install foxpro 2.6 on the powerbook and it keeps saying setup was unsuccessful.

Has anyone else run into these quirks and are there any patches of updates to make foxpro 2.6 run on mac 9.1?

I'd appreciate your help.

I'm running 9.1 on my G4 tower. FoxPro (2.6a) loaded no problem but I had problems with pictures showing up scrambled. I found a site that recommended I drop the resolution on my Studio (bummer!) and it worked fine after that. Try installing using "minimum" with extensions off.

I keep running into another problem though. After working problem-free with FP2.6a for sometime now (almost 6 months) suddenly the "window frames" on all of the FP screens (i.e. command, view) became thicker, the program crashes inexplicably, and none of the commands work (i.e. something simple like apple+o).

I deinstall the program, remove any prefs and reinstall with extensions off. Same thing.

Has anyone out there ran into the same difficulty?

Thanks

first any time something goes wiried rebuild the desktop
and check the hard drive with disk forstaid or something better like tektools or nortons So long and thanks for all the fish.

Has anyone out there used phdBase with Foxpro on the Mac? I'm using VFP 3.0. It refuses to load the library. The developer of phDbase said that he only sold about 8 copies of the Mac version and 5 years ago it worked. On, and I'm on OS 8. something.
