Mac OS 10 Key with illustrator / photoshop.

On of your mac users in complaint that "after a couple of hours" working in Illustrator and / or Photoshop the shift key fails of contrain the selection. He states that if he reboots alls back to nornal.

Is this likey to be an issue with the keyboard or software? Any help/ thoughts would be gratfully recieved.
