I have no experience with Macs. I need to get a G4 OS 9.2 to access a Windows 2003 file server. Do I need Mac services on the server? There is something called Dave 2.5 on the Mac. Where do I start?

DAVE will do the job.

Realisticly you would do better to spend the money upgrading the G4's operating system to OS X. OS X 10.2 and up natively support networking and sharing with windows machines (and there's nothing else to put on your server).

I got rid of Dave and the built in apple stuff worked. I did have to add a mac share to the server, though.
