Whole life running PC's. Now I have to "clear" a friends Mac hard drive! Yeccchhh! (but she's cute!). Is there a program like "KillDisk" that I can D/L on a PC, and run on a Mac? Probably a floppy.

Define "clear" the hard drive; do you mean return the mac to its base install (default)?

Well to wipe it completely and start over is pretty easy if she has the Operating System disk. Plop the disk in the drive and just as the computer starts up (about 2 seconds after the screen turns on) press and hold the "C" key on the keyboard; it should boot off the CD and you can do what ever it is youd like to do from there. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll have to check to see if she has the original O.S. disk.

Good site! She is fixing this Mac up for her grand daughter to play with, as she has already switched to a Dell laptop!

Well As A MAC Person That link was hilarious, I only use a PC At work, but it was a funny site. BTW it is a funny thing but they complain about macs but are complete unaware that most web servers are built on a UNIX Platform...Same As A MAC
