Mac Browser Missing Image? 2

Hi all,

I have an issue comming in that is confusing me. I have a Mac user that says there is something spinning on her page with a circle and an X , this is sounding like a missing image type indicator. Am I right?

Also... What kind of syntax error could cause a missing image from a Mac browser that works from IE or Netscape? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

We had an issue here before, an image wasn't appearing on one browser but was on another. In this case it was because of the stacking order of the layers which can be different on some browsers. the solution was simply to specify a z-index for that layer.

What way is the image included in the page? Within a table? Positioned Divs etc?

The "spinning X" is most likely just the "wait" state of the cursor. Sometimes I get a circle that has 2 quarters of it filled in like a pie missing pieces. This could be what she is seeing.

I usually see it when I click a link and it takes a second to connect to the server on the other end. Then it turns to my "wait" state and has some spinning colored wheel. heheh.

Maybe be sure the image she is trying to see is uploaded? upl;oad it again?

Have her clear her cache?

Thanks for all the help...

unfortunetely I can't post the page, it's behind several passwords. I think cian might be onto something with the drug reference. The image is placed in a table, the table is within a table but there are no layers or divs assigned on the page at all.

from what the user is saying I think it probably is an image not loading correctly, maybe even a timeout. She's not complaining anymore so I think it must have gone away.
