Mac authentication with IE 5.x

Is anyone one else having a problem with authentication for Macintosh users? Specifically, when our users upgrade to Internet Explorer 5.4 and above they get 403 errors from IIS. If we back them out to IE 5.0 they're authenticated just fine.

(This is an in-house intranet; W2K server, IIS 5)
