MAC addresses retrieval

Hello all:

I did a search a while on how to list all the MAC addresses of a given range of IP's (ie. 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.30). I found a windows script that someone had written to do just that. I find my self looking for the same thing again. Any ideas on how I can achieve this? I searched all over and the only way I found so far is to retrieve the MAC addresses individually which would consume a lot more time than I would like.
