Hi Guys,

Hopefully this is an easy one for you.
I have a Cisco Aironet 340 Access Point (version 11.10T), and I want prevent unathorised access onto my network.
I have added the mac address of my wireless adaptor onto the Cisco Aironet and it is there on the existing MAC address filters list.
But the Aironet event log still shows other mac addresses being authenticated and associated.

What am I missing ??

Sounds obvious but have you rebooted the ap to allow re-config to take place?

I rebooted the AP and purged the event log.
This morning the event log showed

2005/02/01 08:02:20 Info Station ************ Authenticated
2005/02/01 08:02:16 Info Station ************ Authenticated
2005/02/01 08:02:13 Info Station ************ Authenticated

I now have a problem with a new Apple G4 powerbook.

Station ************ Failed Authentication
status "Unsupported Authentication Algorithm"

Any Ideas??

From cisco's website for your version.

CSCdt34104—Filters can be disabled but not edited from the command-line interface.

You cannot edit MAC address filters with the command-line interface. However, you can use the CLI's Ethernet Protocol Filters and Root Radio Protocol Filters pages to disable filters.

Does this sound like your situation?
