MA401 Configuration & Encryption is greyed out

I have used my Netgear MA401 successfully on a Win 98 Laptop. I wanted to do the same on my Win XP FS C1020 but the Configuration Utility does not allow me to use Advanced Configuration or WEP Encryption. Right-clicking the icon displays these options as greyed out.

I have update the card with the latest drivers and even updated the firmware.

The connection itself contained WEP and configuration so I will try these instead of the Configuration Utility.
