I've had an M7410 that had the 'invalid handset' problem - which i fixed just today by reading the posts of one of the other posters on this site - thanks very much, i gave you a star for that
However, in my attempts (before that post was made) to try to fix the phone, I somehow got into some strange programming mode on the set itself - something to do with memory allocations - it looked very much like the menus when looking around in 'feature' **debug.
Anyway, in my unwise attempts to make the 2 units talk to each other, something happened, causing the desk portion of the M7410 to have strange characters in the display.
The first line - time and date are fine.
The second line - where the soft keys are displayed, now permanently shows FF R0A above and between the left and middle soft keys.
Any ideas? The phone was unplugged and the battery was removed from the handset for about 3 months. It does this on different KSU's also. (tried on 616DSDR5 and MICS DR5XC) Its on the desk all the time, and on the handset also when its working. It overwrites the display (the letters never go away).
It wasnt such a big deal when the set wasnt working, but since i read the magic fix post... and the set works...
