Hooked up an m7324 with a blf . Initially got flashing indicators on boot up, but when you go to program the blf with F2 and press the blf buttons they won't program . Tried F*0 and hit a blf button and got no response. I have changed the set, blf, cords,etc...Could it be a flaky port? i have it running on a Citel (mck) extender. Other phone on site's BLF works fine.

Thanks!

A BLF cannot be attached to a M7324 phone. Are you referring to a M7310 phone? The M7324 phone can accomidate a KLM (Key Lamp Module) and it requires 24volts to power it.

Sorry, of course it is a KLM not BLF ... I have the -24 volts applied. Still won't work.

Thanks!

Is the 24 volts powering on the KLM in question or is it powering a couple of KLM's? Have you tried applying the 24 volts right at the insert and not on the cable going to the phone?

It could be that the extender will not work with the KLM since it uses the B2 channel and the extender will not see it? I would check with Citel tech support.

Thanks all.

Cook1082, I think it might be a flaky b2 channel on the port. There already is another working KLM at the site.
I'll try a couple more things and let you guys know.

The KLM power connections are polarity sensitive, + to Tip.

Definitely check polarity first. Reversing a jumper is a lot quicker than spending an hour on the phone with citel.

Thanks! forgot to tell you I reversed polarity and changed all equiptment, cord, etc. Tried chabnging the norstar port today at the MCK pbx gateway. Did not work.I'm driving up there with a new power supply tommorow (will try dedicating it to the set in question)

Thanks for all your help everyone!
