I just got a m7324 and tried to connect it to our system but all lines are flashing with arrows, it was connected to another system previously and I know it's compatible with ours, but cannot seem to reprogram it. As you can tell i really now nothing about these systems. Can I reprogram it? Is there a way to access it's features? Tried Admin password but to no avail. Is there a tech personnal password that needs to be entered when initially configuring new phone to Nortel systems?

Thanks for help
Marcel

When you plug a phone up all the buttons will flash at first then it should come right up, if it keeps flashing you may need to move the phone to another port by moving your cross connect. Once you are on a good port, the phone should come up just fine. M.Parnell

If you`ve tried another port and it still doesn`t come up, you may have a compatability issue. The 7324`s are not compatable with some of norstar`s earliest releases. I`m not sure what versions aren`t compatable, but if you give your system type and software version, I`m sure someone here will know if that`s the case.

It seems you have a 6X16 system, and you`d have to pull open the cover on your ksu and look at the software cartridge on the top left hand corner of the ksu for the software version. If you can tell me what it says on that cartridge, (don`t pull it out) I`ll try to find out more. If you don`t want to do that, what happens when you enter Feature **config? Does it come up Password or does it come up Lines. If it comes up lines, I believe you`re definetly out of luck.

M7324s won't work with DR 1.

On a 6/16 - If the software cartrige doesn't fill the whole gap possible and has a little thin top to it it is a DR1.

An upgrade to DR5 is cheap and worth it.
