I have 3 M7310 phone in a restaurant that is very noisy. The staff is complaining that the volume is too low on the phones to hear. I have explained to them how to turn the volume up on the phones. Is there a way to keep the volume on high? It seems to default middle way every session. Does the CICS system allow for this? I either need to switch the KSU with one that will allow for the volume to be saved or use a handset amp. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

My suggestion is to try one of these:

I support an old 616 DR5, and found changing handsets the most direct way to go.

From what you describe, I do not think you will find a suitable configuration/feature solution.

There are also techniques for modifying a regular handset by carefully drilling small holes in the handset behind the mic so that room audio largely cancels itself out on the mic element (by evening out sound pressure on both side of the mic element) so that background noise is not amplified into the earpiece. However, if the area is just plain very loud, an amplified handset is the easiest.

also has noise-canceling and amplified handsets as well as can do custom work.

Hi, Thanks for your suggestions. I am either going to swap the handsets out or replace it with a CICS KSU.

Thanks again
