M7310 & Caller ID display (mod ics 4.0)

We have several 7310's that do not show the caller id until the receiver is picked up. The other phones show the name as soon as it rings. Any ideas why they all don't act that way? Thanks, Philip

That is the way your system is programmed. CLID does not just automatically show up on phones. It has to be programmed to do so.

We used the copy function to make all the phones the same (in theory). And most of the phones show CLID upon ringing. So my question is what should I look at that might be causing a few of the phones to not show CLID until answered.

With 4.0 software copy may not work to bring up CLID. It could be getting to those sets a couple of different ways, that are not under T&S. Your best bet is probably to have your vendor look at it.
