Haven't gone out to site yet..but customer calls stating on set 221(reception)any button pushed goes to 222. Had customer pi/up handset which prime is set to I/C he then presses line 1 on phone..(for outside line) it rings to ext 222..he states even his Feature Button (when pushed) goes to ext 222? I had him unplug and plug back in..but still same. I will troubleshoot on site tonight..but wondered if anyone had this issue b4..

no. but maybe check that it is not programmed for hotline to 222.

Good point bkrike...
My original install didn't have this configed..but who knows what's gone on..its been a few months.
Hmmm..I thought it was a stuck button but that wasn't it...
I'll diagnose and advise of my findings..

if it is not the autodial look at button 2being jammed, you might be set as a hotline also.

I'll check all the above..
Thanks for my checklist folks..I want to be in and outta their..(gotta see my little one before they hit the hay!!)

The only time I've seen this happen was a stuck auto dial button, the customer swore there were no buttons stuck, when I got onsite there was definitely a stuck key. Sometimes the auto dial keys stick in one of the corners of the button making it hard to tell that the key is actually stuck. It seemed evident there was a stuck key, when pressing the "feature" key dialed an extension.

CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT..?????
With the exception of this service call(can you believe it)??
I specifically asked them if there was a stuck button while I was on the phone w/them!!.. (NOPE)

Sure enough..button 2 was stuck.
Cheers...

I always ask the customer to lift up the phone from the bottom & look across the plane of the set. They can usually see it that way.

Yah..I tried that too..
I recommended a change in his perscription..
But now companies have stopped paying for eye care..who can blame him...

I just had one like that M7324 when ever they picked up the phone it called sta 225, I looked, button not stuck? took the phone apart, wet inside!! Customer did not advise of liquid spill, must have been a wet short, works fine now.
Hope this helps.

The calls that make me laugh are the ones we get from customers saying that their phone doesn't work, "I was just trying to clean my phone with a damp cloth and now it doesn't work" and when you get onsite and you can tell they spilled coffee or soda on it.
