M3905 Ring Tones 1

Hello All

I have been trying to change the ring tones on the M3905 with no luck

I do as it says in the manual through the options list "select and press done" etc. but it still doesn't change the ring tone.

Any Ideas

Hello Colin

I have changed the DRG field through phonemaster and also tried changing it on the handset itself.

The cls drg field looks to be changed when I do a prt but ring tone is still just a single beep and not the ring tone I chg it to.

Hello seabiscuit......Pre software release 24, which does allow a ring to be set, telephones set up as ACD extns only gave a bleep to indicate an incoming DN call.
It is possible to however to allow the incoming call to bleep regularly, imitating a ring. If an extn has a CLS (class or service) of FITD then change it to FITA and the feature will be set.
If however it has neither FITD or FITA then a change will be required in the CDB (customer data block), in order to achieve this function.
The CDB can be printed in LD 21 and changed in LD 15, the OPT (options) section should have DBD changed to DBA, this will then allow the FITA prompt to be programmed onto any ACD extn

It is possible to run a traffic record using overlay LD 2. It is a fairly difficult task to set up first time. You would need to refer to the Meridian 1 Traffic Measurement Formats and Output 553-2001-450. Manual analysis of the data is also difficult. You may have an application on MAT or OTM that can do this for you
