M3904 Headset problem

When the headset button in pressed on the telephone I dont get a dial tone through the headset. If you press the scr button and then the headset it works? Anyone have any ideas?
Is it CLS to activate this?

also check the options on the phone. the on hook default path should be set to headset.

i haven't seen that option on the 04 but because i usually stay in the switchroom i haven't really added headsets to those stations.. good point..
