M3904 Call Indicator Light not working

Hello Everyone,
Any thoughts on why I cannot get a call indicator light to work on a M3904. I have verified the light is working, regardless replaced phone. I have verified that it is turned on under options on the phone. The issue here is the phone is set for SCN, they depend on the light to know when a call is coming in. Now all of a sudden they tell me that it is not working. I am stumped.

What have you done to try and remedy the problem? Post the tnb if you want. Did you shift to the correct page?

So when you physically look at the phone you se the dn 6992 on the display by key 0?

If you talking about the red light at the top of the phone, it will only light when the line is flagged for SCR.SCN will not light it, line indicator will flash though

You are correct. I know they are end users but they are telling me that the light used to flash. I thought I remember seeing the phone do this as well. Is there another way to silence a phone completely then?

Turn the ringer volume down. 3904 phones get real quiet.

Since they apparently only use the phone for the message light and not to answer calls then maybe you could just call forward the phone and leave it that way.

Yeah I would just break the news to them that it doesn't work the way they want it. They'll get over it.

Have you "flashed the phone"?

Also, have you got an early earlt 3904 that you cannot flash??
