I have an M3901 and it seems the back piece can simply be turned around in order for me to hang it on the wall. The only problem I am having is I can't figure out how to remove this piece. I am afraid i'll break it if I try yanking the back piece off but I don't see any screws or anything. If anyone knows how to remove this piece please let me know. thanks.

I know that on some 3900 series phones there were tabs holding the brackets in place. You could push the tabs over with a small screwdriver and then remove the bracket. It still took some pulling to get it off though. I do remember breaking a few.

Dear Archibald, i finally simply yanked it off and miraculously it didn't break, but i am not sure that this piece is the same piece I need to hang it on the wall. If so, the user guide gives no instructions on how to re-install it upside down, nor can i figure out for the life of me how to do it. Do you have any documentation on how to reattach the bottom piece so I can hang this phone on the wall? thank you.

Nope, the only thing I found was the Phase 2 3900 series installation/config pdf on Nortel's site that said 3901 and 3902 sets COULD be mounted on the wall with their build-in base. It didn't say anything about HOW to do it.

I'll keep looking. As far as I can remember, there may be a different set of slots on the bottom of the phone to use? Or is that something with the 3903/3904 sets? It's been a while since I was in the field. Sorry.

If you find anything I would greatly appreciate you passing it on to me. I cannot figure this out. Thanks Archibald.

Look on the back of the phone you will see that the slots are numbered 1,2,& 3. If you look at the footstand the tabs are also numbered. If you want to wall mount then use slots 1 & 3. If it is for desk use then use slots 1 & 2. hope this helps

it does help. Too bad there's no documentation included with the phone stating this simple fact. thanks you hawks.
