M2616 wall mount hand sets

Has anyone ever hung a m2616 on the wall and when you insert the handset retainer clip the handset will not fully push down the switch hook. Sometimes I go through several handsets until one is small enough to hang up properly. Is there any other way to keep the handset from falling without the clip.

If you have a 25' coil cord, that can pull it down. Try to add a spacer so the phone angle is better.

I'm assuming you are using the Aries handset - cause the old handsets for 2317 and 2112 (or whatever model they were) will never seat properly.

We have several 2616 and 2008 phones hung on the wall, using the clip without issue, all are using the correct type handset that came with the phone. Also, in a past job, we had several 2006 phones hung on walls as access to secure rooms etc. again with no problems.
