M2250 noise speaker

Hi

we have a nortel meridian M2250 console and there is a noise on the console speaker, I changed the speaker but there is still this noise.

Make sure the Power Fail button on the underside of the console is not accidentally switched on, it will make a buzzing sound.

Just a thought . Does nortel have " Background Music " where you can play music on hold over the speaker of the phone itself?
