M2250 consoles

I have extremely limited knowledge of how M2250 consoles work as far as calling out. It's pretty apparent to me that they are not restricted in the same way regular phone sets are. I just blocked a toll-free number but the operators can still dial it. what's the best documentation for me to read to very quickly learn about how consoles work and how calls are routed, etc.? thank you.

but there's no NCOS prompt on the actual console TN, right? Whatever the NCOS is in the CDB under ATT_DATA is what they're all set to? I just want to ask you one more quick question...are the consoles restricted based on NPAs as well? If there's a new NPA that I haven't yet programmed can the operators still dial it? My guess is no but, again, i don't know much about the consoles. I really appreciate your help.

I shouldn't have posted my last question so quickly. If I blocked a phone number via SDRR how are my M2250 consoles still able to dial it? Their outbound calls obviously route differently than regular phone sets.

Consoles are still subject to your BARS and NARS. The NCOS for all 2250's as a group are set in LD 15, as wdhb mentioned. Some of the options that you might set for the attendant can be parameters that affect the entire system. A good place to start with this is the Software Features Guide NTP. There is a chapter on Attendant Consoles, plus several attendant-based other features.

I understand about the NCOS and already looked at it but if I've blocked phone number 555-5555 via SDRR under a specific area code and my consoles can still dial it then I imagine they somehow bypass BARS completely. I'll print out the console chapter. thank you very much.
