we have four M2250 consoles and are going to be doing construction in that area ofr about two weeks. We do not want to go through the expense of phyisically moving all four consoles, so I've been asked what the best solution is. If I set up four M2616s in an unused location, assign them all an MCR key, make the CLS FND, put the four M2250 consoles in NITE, and change the NITE DN in the CDB during daytime hours to this new MCR DN, will that be an effective, cheap, easy solution? If you have a better idea I welcome all suggestions. Thank you.

change your atdn to the new mcr number also. you nailed that one. but check you auto answer dn on your trunks to keep that one from sneaking up on you. i always make 0 an acd so i can forward to it change the ncfw without the trouble or taking my consoles down to make changes.. acd will follow the ncfw all the time because with no agents built it stays in nights..

check my auto answer on my incoming trunks? okay, that's going to take some investigating on my part because I'm not terribly proficient on trunk programming but I should be able to figure it out. But as far as making 0 an ACD DN, zero is already defined as the DN on all my consoles so I can't just make it an ACD DN, unless you mean once I change the ATDN to the new MCR # that will free up DN 0?

Maby a ACD-queue is better than a MCR-DN. Then the Operators can log in and out when they want.
With MCR all 4 sets will ring when a call comes in.
With ACD, only 1 set rings.(one with an operator present).

forget it! great suggestion, but I haven't programmed ACD phones in about a hundred years. But you brought up a good point regarding MCR if one if the attendants is not available. Sometimes only three of them are there at a time and if I have four sets with MCR then that fourth one will just ring off the hook. I'll have to think about that. Maybe it's time to bone-up on ACD after all...

Yep, and you get the log-in/out function as on an ATT-console.
Also when all 4 are logged out you can redirect calls to VM etc. with NCFW just like U do with NIT!

thank you, this is a great idea. But like I said it's been a long time since I've done ACD queues so I may not be comfortable doing this. One quick question...if I do build these sets in a queue do I set the MWC to NO in LD 23? and I'm going to set my MAXP to four? and do they need Not Ready AND MSB keys? okay, that ended up being three questions....thanks for your help.

maxp only limits the possible number of users you can add. i ususlly set it higher then actual number, but it is a changable param. if mwc=no then don't try to turn on a mwk light on those numbers..

don't make your att acd agents. use a acd with two entries, maxp 1....ncfw to a mcr...yyyy
then make the nite number point to the mcr. when the att are all in nite, are unplugged the calls all go to nite. that mcr can either go to an area ringer for pick or appear on a set(s).. the 2250's will work the same way as always. i made my atdn xxxx then 0 another acd maxp 1 ncfw to xxxx. by doing that, not only is the nite yyyy going to mcr xxxx so is dial ZERO...

try this.. ld 23 new acd 0..acdn AAAA.. maxp 1 ncfw (your ext) return retu ... call the acdn aaaa..it ring on your phone.. not an acd group just a simple retarget.. i use these for everything.. i wanted to reserve all the 3700 numbers for a new building, i just made 37 a maxp1 acd going to vni.. takes it out of the ludn table,
